Walter C. Kaiser, Jr. is President Emeritus and Colman M. Mockler Distinguished Professor of Old Testament of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He served as president of Gordon-Conwell from 1997–2006, and he taught at Wheaton College and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School prior to moving to Gordon-Conwell.
He is the author of dozens of books and commentaries, including Toward and Old Testament Theology, Ecclesiastes: Total Life, Toward an Exegetical Theology: Biblical Exegesis for Preaching and Teaching, Hard Sayings of the Old Testament, Communicator’s Commentary: Micah to Malachi, New Interpreter’s Bible: Leviticus, Expositor’s Bible Commentary: Exodus, The Messiah in the Old Testament, A History of Israel, Proverbs: Wisdom for Everyday Life, The Uses of the Old Testament in the New, and The Majesty of God in the Old Testament: A Guide for Preaching and Teaching.
His articles have appeared in Journal for the Study of Old Testament, Journal of the Evangelical Theological Society, Christianity Today, Westminster Theological Journal, and the Evangelical Quarterly.
