Eugene H. Merrill is Distinguished Professor of Old Testament Studies at Dallas Theological Seminary. He has served as the Vice-President of the Evangelical Theological Society.

He has published over 190 articles and reviews in popular periodicals and scholarly journals, including: Journal of the Evangelical Theological Society, Christianity Today, Bibliotheca Sacra, Grace Theological Journal, Criswell Theological Review, and Journal of the Ancient Near Eastern Society.
