R. Dennis Cole is Professor of Old Testament and Archaeology at the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and holds the Mcfarland Chair of Archaeology. His research interests include history and archaeology of Bible lands, history of Judaism, Dead Sea Scrolls, Aramaic, and studies in the Ancient Near East. He is also the author of the volume on Numbers in the New American Commentary.
